Privacy Policy

The short version

• OfflyPDF does not have an internet permission. It cannot upload your files even if it wanted to.
• There is no analytics SDK and no crash reporter bundled with the app.
• Every PDF operation — scan, merge, split, sign, compress, encrypt — runs entirely on your device.
• We do not collect, store, or have access to any of your documents, contacts, or personal data.

Permissions we request

OfflyPDF requests only the Android permissions strictly required for its on-device tools:

• Camera — used only by the Scan to PDF tool to capture pages you choose to photograph. Images are processed locally and never transmitted.
• Photo library — used only when you explicitly select an image for Image to PDF or Image Signature. The app does not scan your gallery in the background.

Camera is the only permission OfflyPDF declares. Notably, the app does not declare the internet permission (android.permission.INTERNET). Without it, Android itself prevents the app from opening a network connection — so "your files never leave your device" is enforced by the operating system, not just promised by us.

The camera library OfflyPDF builds on normally requests microphone access for video recording. Because the app only ever captures still images, that permission is explicitly stripped from the final build rather than shipped unused.

Where your files are stored

Documents you create with OfflyPDF are saved to the app's own private storage directory on your device. Other apps cannot read that directory, and uninstalling OfflyPDF removes everything in it. Temporary working files are written to the app's cache and can be cleared at any time from Settings → Storage → Clear Cache & Temp Files.

Password protection uses AES-256 encryption computed on-device. Your password is never transmitted or stored by us in any form — which also means that if you lose it, we have no way to recover the file for you.

When you share a file

OfflyPDF includes a Share button that hands a file to Android's system share sheet, so you can send it through another app of your choosing — email, a messaging app, or cloud storage. This only ever happens when you tap Share and pick a destination. Once a file is handed to another app, it is governed by that app's privacy policy rather than ours. OfflyPDF itself still sends nothing anywhere.

Children's privacy

OfflyPDF is a general-purpose utility and is not directed at children. Because the app collects no data from anyone, it collects no data from children either.

Third parties

OfflyPDF does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. We do not sell or share data, because we do not collect any to begin with.

Data collection, sharing, and deletion

OfflyPDF collects no data and shares no data. There are no user accounts, so there is nothing to sign up for and nothing for us to delete on your behalf — we hold no record of you or your files.

You remain in full control of everything the app produces: delete individual documents from the Files tab, clear temporary files from Settings, or uninstall the app to remove all of its data from your device at once.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the "last updated" date above will change accordingly. Material changes will be reflected in the app's Play Store listing.
