Every line of code and every pixel in OfflyPDF comes from me. No agency, no contractors, no support queue in between.
Why I built it
The problem
Most PDF apps are a website in disguise
Compressing a payslip, signing a lease, merging bank statements — in most apps that means uploading the document to a server you know nothing about, then trusting a privacy policy to delete it.
The decision
Remove the network entirely
OfflyPDF runs every tool on your phone's own processor. The app doesn't request the internet permission at all — so uploading your files isn't something I promise not to do, it's something the app is incapable of doing.
The result
Everything else follows from that
No accounts, no analytics, no subscription funnel, no ads. Just the tools, working the same on a plane, in a basement, or on airplane mode.
What I believe
Three rules I hold the app to. If a feature breaks one of them, it doesn't ship.
Private by default
No internet permission, no analytics, no third-party SDKs. Your files never leave your device — not even to me.
Built by one person
No investors, no growth team, no roadmap decided by a boardroom. Just one person shipping the app they wanted to use.
No dark patterns
No accounts to sign up for, no nag screens, no subscription funnels. Open the app, do the task, done.
